What this measures

These are county-level estimates of Veterans receiving VA disability compensation as of September 30, 2025. VA groups total service-connected disability ratings into five published bands.

The figures count recipients. They do not report claims, medical diagnoses, payment amounts, total Veteran population, or the percentage of all Veterans who receive compensation.

How missing data is handled

  • Blank VA cells remain “Not published.”
  • No suppressed value is imputed or converted to zero.
  • Age and sex categories may not sum to the total.
  • Published rating bands reconcile to the total whenever all five are present.
